Maybe you watched Leyton Orient’s season-opening 2-0 win over Oxford United on Saturday in the first round of the Carabao Cup, after not paying attention to any Os news over the summer, and wondered who all those new players are. If so, this story is for you.

Orient have been busy this summer, bringing in 12 players as of Tuesday evening, in a squad reset after last season’s abysmal 20th place finish in League One.

The latest signings came this week in the form of striker Nick Oyekunle on loan from Southampton and defender Alfie Gilchrist from West Brom, as manager Richie Wellens had presaged to our matchday correspondent Alex Stripe on Saturday.
