Building A New Orient

So, Leyton Orient may get a new stadium - hopefully somewhere in E10. At the time of writing (July 2026), nothing concrete has been proposed. The Leyton Orient board has said they won’t make any further comment until the end of the year, and we know that the majority shareholder, David Gandler, has been facing some challenges of his own.

So, Leyton Orient may get a new stadium somewhere in E10, although at the time of writing we still await concrete proposals. The Leyton Orient board has said they won’t make any further comment until the end of the year, and we know that the majority shareholder, David Gandler, has been facing some challenges of his own since he acquired his stake in the Club. At the same time, the new Waltham Forest Council has yet to make any public comment regarding a new stadium or about any effect it might have on their previously published (2024) development vision for the Leyton Mills neighbourhood. Nevertheless, that's no reason not to consider some of the issues around the design of a new stadium and the potential problems around the club moving to a new location.
