In recent years the Os have struggled with Stevenage’s "uncomplicated" tactical approach and we’ve often been outmuscled by them. Longer term though, Orient hold the upper hand – in the 31 fixtures between the two teams, we’ve won 14 and lost eight. Nine of the 31 games have been draws. If ever we needed a win over them, then it's this weekend.
Stevenage – the club
Despite the fact they’ve been kicking around League One and Two for 16 seasons now, Stevenage are a small club. They don’t pretend to be anything else. And are seemingly happy that way.
The current club was founded in 1976 and worked their way up from the United Counties League (Level Nine) to the Conference National League. Although they achieved promotion to League Two in 1995/96 the (lack of) facilities at Broadhall Way meant they could not take their place in League Two. It was 14 seasons later in 2009/10 by the time they finally made it into League Two.
