Leyton Orient began their EFL Trophy campaign with Richie Wellens giving opportunities to several players looking to force their way into his League One starting XI.
New signings Alfie Gilchrist and Oyekunle were handed starts, while Theo Archibald returned after missing Saturday’s opening-day defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Wellens had stressed before kick-off that the evening represented an opportunity for those selected to show why they deserved to keep the shirt.
Orient lined up in a familiar 4-2-3-1, with Dylan Levitt and Zech Obiero operating in front of the back four.
