Q7: Moan of the season
Although responses included the usual day-to-day frustrations of supporting Orient as always, the majority of respondents were interested in some of the bigger issues that clouded our season, and the responses to this question were largely about trying to make sense of how the season had panned out, “going from being on the verge of the Championship to being on the verge of League 2” as Darran put it. Matthew asked: “How has the club allowed themselves to get into this position?”.
There were three main themes in the answers to this question:
- The general direction of travel of the club
- Poor management of the footballing side of the business, in particular recruitment, attitude and fitness
- The overall conduct of Richie Wellens.
