Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens was looking for a response from his squad, after Saturday’s listless 3-1 loss to Barnsley.
Bromley counterpart Andy Woodman was wanting the same from his charges, following a 7-2 shellacking at Sheffield Wednesday.
Despite Bromley coming into the match undefeated at home since April 2025, it was the visitors who went home happy. Braces from Jaze Kabia and Yusuf Akhramrich and a goal from Armando Dobra seconds after being subbed on led the Os to a comfortable 5-0 win on transfer deadline day, with the Orient front office working the phones up until the 11 pm cutoff to bring in highly-rated forward Dane Scarlett and goalkeeper Oliver Dovin literally at the 11th hour.
