Leyton Orient added depth at both ends of the pitch on Tuesday, signing striker Dane Scarlett on a permanent deal from Tottenham Hotspur and acquiring goalkeeper Oliver Dovin on loan from Coventry City, just before the transfer window deadline closed at 11 pm after the Os beat Bromley, 5-0, at Hayes Lane.
The additions, however, came at the cost of two midfielders, with Dylan Levitt being sold to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership and Zech Obiero being sent on loan to Gillingham of League Two, thinning Orient's depth at the position, though sources tell the Orientear that the Os are likely to announce the signing Alex Gilbert imminently. As a free agent, Gilbert is not subject to the transfer deadline, so can be signed any time.
